Dear Mohammad Hussain, the following is my review of your book:

A few days ago I finished reading Mohammed Hussain Alnajafi’s book المناضل الصغير, which translates to the Small Agonizer, Small Struggler or Young Activist . The character he renders in his book in anything but small. He was rather magnanimous in his dedication to the movement he was involved in.

I was very impressed with his eloquent Arabic diction in which he chose the most appropriate terms to describe his agony, his parents’ worry and his unequivocal loyalty to his friends. I am familiar with all the venues and the dates in which Mohammed lived, where he worked and where he struggled.

Reading his book enriched my knowledge of the trying periods in Iraq that started after the July 14, 1958 Revolution that toppled the monarchy. The book filled the gaps where I was not aware of certain personas and events that took place. It’s a book worth reading by an author who was dedicated to his principles.
